Along with the increasing demand of electricity in every field, the bus bar seems to play a more and more important role in transmitting and distributing electricity today. In view of this situation, many kinds of busbars have been launched on the market. And the main difference between these busbars is the different conductor materials they use. And of course, each kind of conductor material could certainly cause a different effect on the power transmission engineering. First of all, we can choose the bus bar material according to different functions of different busbars. For now, the most commonly used bus bar material can be mainly divided into three types: copper, aluminum and the CCA busbar. In the past few years, copper busbars seems to have occupied the main bus bar market. But according to the relevant reports, aluminum bus bar is getting more and more widely used in some developed countries today. This is because the aluminum bus bar is much lighter compared with the copper busbars. So the copper busbars are easier to operate and deliver. But when it comes to the hardness and density, maybe the copper busbars are better than aluminum bus bar. Today, there is a new kind of bus bar material that has been created, which is called aluminum alloy. This kind of material is much stronger than the original aluminum to a very large extent.
 
Then, from the perspective of economics, I think the aluminum bus bar is very much suitable than the copper busbars. Aluminum, by contrast, has the rich resources. So the price is much cheaper compared with copper busbars. But on the other hand, the dissipation of aluminum bus bar is 26 percent more than copper busbars under the same working conditions which means, the service life of the aluminum bus bar seems to be much shorter. As far as I am concerned, CCA busbar is in a dominant position in every aspect.
 
To sum up, each kind of the bus bar material seems to have different advantages. It is hard to decide which one to choose unless we take the actual demand of the power supply into consideration. You know, sometimes, the current load is directly connected with the bus bar we use. The above suggestions are only provided for reference. But I personally think the CCA busbar is very much suitable.
